I am attending the conference in my role as Program Manager for Waste Transformation in the Food Waste CRC. I have a strong record in the management of multidisciplinary projects and delivery of innovative solutions with several products fully commercialised to date.

I am currently a Senior Lecturer in the School of Chemical Engineering and the Dow Centre for Sustainable Engineering Innovation and my interests lie in biopolymers, waste to energy, circular economy initiatives, carbon fibres from low cost starting materials, controlled release, novel fertilisers, and plastics in the environment.

The AMB will address key roadblocks along the product development pipeline that are currently impeding companies by developing new technologies for advanced manufacturing of products, tailored support for clinical services and dedicated workforce training.

I am leading the bid for an Advanced Medical Biotechnologies CRC (AMB) for the 2018 round. AMB proposes to assemble a collaborative network across industry and researchers to support Australian SMEs in getting their biological medical therapeutic products to market. The AMB will address key industry problems and roadblocks along the product development pipeline that are currently impeding companies by; developing new technologies for advanced manufacturing of biological products (including live viruses, antibodies and proteins); building and connecting a national capability for GMP protein manufacture; tailored support for pre-clinical and clinical services and dedicated workforce training.
