Phil has a PhD in laser physics and is national vice-president of Australian Science Communicators. I am an early career researcher and I am interested to meet anyone who is interested in food security and cleaner ways of producing plant based foods and materials.

I am a molecular biologist and my current field of study is focused on transgene design, gene harmony and genome editing in plants. I am also working on plant based waxes and oils and finding ways of producing higher amounts of novel waxes and oils in plants. My ultimate goal is to precisely engineer plant genomes to meet the increasing demand for plant based foods and materials.

The Digital Media Research Centre at QUT is partnering with The Conversation and the CRCA on an ARC Linkage research project that is investigating scholars’ use of amplifier platforms like The Conversation.

We would very much like to discuss your use (or non-use) of amplifier platforms and your research communication activities in an interview during the Collaborate Innovate Conference in Sydney.

Interviews will be at a time convenient to you and should take no longer than 30-40 minutes of your time with myself and Distinguished Professor Stuart Cunningham. It would be fantastic if you could indicate your interest or consent to participate through the match-up service and I can organise a time for the interview.

The Rail Manufacturing CRC is supporting the rail industry to develop new products, technologies and supply chain networks to increase Australian rail manufacturing’s competitiveness, capacity and productivity.

I'm interested in helping PhD students and ECRs (but also established researchers) make the most of their PhD and their career in general. I help people understand the skills and experiences they have and how they might translate into other sectors or roles.

I work with PhD students, ECRs, Graduate Schools, Research Directors to help students complete their PhD in a timely manner. I work with ECRs and Research Offices to help academic write better grants.

I have a dream that PhDs will be seen like MBAs - a general qualification that improves your employability, rather than the vocational qualification it is currently viewed as. I also have a dream that the line between academia and industry will be blurred such that a career that see people move between each sector every 5-10 years is common rather than impossible.

I am responsible RMIT’s participation in national research initiatives - with particular focus on CRCs and CRC-Ps. Our team lead and facilitate consortia management throughout bidding and establishment to meet the needs and priorities of our industry partners.
